Shenzhou Luhua Peanut Oil is a part of Shandong’s Luhua Group, China’s largest peanut oil producer. It covers an area of 120,000 square meters. Work on it started on March 6, 2008 and it went into operation in October of the same year. Total investment stood at 500 million yuan ($80.64 million).
The company uses peanuts as major raw material to produce refined peanut oil and blending oil from various nuts through a unique process and the “5S” physical squeezing technique. Annual production is at 100,000 tons, and processing capacity at 250,000 tons. Sales now amount to 2.5 billion yuan and profits, 250 million yuan.
Its products do well all across China, and are exported to many countries and regions. The company focuses on scientific and technological innovation and branding and is a leading national enterprise in agricultural industrialization.
The company has won various honors, such as "national oil company", "oil designated for State banquets at the Great Hall of the People ", a “nutritious, healthy product", "Chinese famous brand product" and a “well-known Chinese trademark".
Its operation in Shenzhou will boost the cultivation of peanuts in the city and neighboring areas, and increase farmer’s incomes and promote the local peanut market.
