A media conference to brief the public on preparations for the Second Provincial Horticultural Exposition of Hebei province was held in the capital, Shijiazhuang, on April 6.
Under the theme of Wetland Landscape and Leisure Lake City, the exposition will be held from July 15 to Oct 8, 2017.
Currently, the expo garden and its supporting facilities are under construction, with some 2,100 construction workers and 220 building machines working around the clock. The main parts of the garden are due to be finished by the end of May and to start trial operations on June 20.
Endowed with lake and wetland resources, Hengshui will take the expo as an opportunity to demonstrate its beauty to the outside world. The three-month event will stage 24 activities, including art performances, horticulture and flower exhibitions, forums on gardens, and a trade fair.
