The annual Shenzhou peach blossom festival opened in Shenzhou, Hebei province on April 8, inviting visitors to take in the splendid scenery and sample local customs.
Shenzhou, located in Hengshui, has created seven characteristics towns with peach planting and related handicraft production. The 40 scenic spots occupy 38,000 mu (2,533 hectares).
The festival runs for 18 days and closes on April 25.
During the festival, visitors will not only have the chance to enjoy the stunning peach blossoms, but also taste local food, try their hand at farming and pick ripe peaches grown in the green house. In addition, tourists can buy exquisite handicrafts made from peach wood and peach pits.
It is the third time that Shenzhou has held a peach blossom festival, and in the past two years it has attracted more than 400,000 visitors.
