A delegation consisting of 31 business representatives from Africa came to Hengshui to seek industrial cooperation opportunities on July 16.
The delegation, which included representatives from nine African countries including Ethiopia, Lesotho, Madagascar, South Africa and Uganda, negotiated with some 200 local business representatives from over 60 companies to seek cooperation in sectors such as auto parts, medical equipment, clothing, food and mechanical processing.
The African delegation was invited by the Hengshui government and Hengshui Council for the Promotion of International Trade to attend the matchmaking meeting for Hengshui and chambers of commerce from African countries.
Wang Wei, deputy director of Hengshui government, introduced the social and economic development conditions of the area, as well as the investment environment of Hengshui to attendees.
He conveyed a warm welcome to guests from African countries and expressed his hopes that the two sides could expand communications and deepen cooperation in the future.
