Jizhou district in Hengshui city, Hebei province, recently upgraded its downtown lighting system to create a night scene that has impressed from local residents, Hengshui Daily reported on July 19.
Information from the Jizhou government reveals that 15 scenic spots were included in the lighting upgrade, with investment of 33.26 million yuan [$4.92 million]. Work at all sites, except for the Yuze Garden scenic spot, has been completed.
Highlights of the new lighting system include the Jizhou Museum and Jiuzhou Culture Square, where large light shows integrating 3D projection technology showcase the beautiful scenery in Jizhou.
The project is aimed at improving Jizhou’s lighting levels and showing the cultural characteristics of the district to visitors and tourists, as the Second Hebei Provincial Horticultural Expo is currently being held in Hengshui, drawing large numbers of visitors to the city.
