Hengshui Lake marathon concludes

The 2017 Hengshui Lake International Marathon took place in Hengshui, North China’s Hebei province on Sept 30, with two runners from Kenya winning first prizes in men’s and women’s full marathon.

This year's event consisted of three parts, namely a full marathon (42.20 kilometers), a half marathon (21.09 kilometers) and a mini marathon (5 kilometers).

Around 16,000 people participated in the international marathon, of which 36 were professional athletes from China, Ethiopia, Kenya, Morocco, Eritrea, Tanzania, and South Africa.

Following fierce competition, two athletes from Kenya won the men's and women’s group respectively in the full marathon.

The marathon was sponsored by the Chinese Athlete Association, Hebei Provincial Bureau and Hengshui People’s Government.
