A cooperation meeting between Hengshui, in Hebei province, and Shenzhen (Pearl River Delta), in Guangdong province, was held in Shenzhen on Nov 12.
The meeting was hosted by Hengshui municipal government, and organized by Hengshui Bureau of Commerce and Hengshui Development and Reform Commission, with the aim of seeking cooperation with Shenzhen.
Lyu Zhicheng, acting mayor of Hengshui, claimed at the meeting that Hengshui has great advantages such as preferential policies, an ideal geological location, and a high-quality education system.
A total of 17 cooperation projects were signed at the meeting, bringing investment of 9.64 billion yuan ($1.45 billion) to Hengshui, covering areas including genetic science and technology, smart healthcare and lighting technologies.
