Steam heating in Hengshui helps improve air quality

Updated: 2017-11-16 10:45:09

Hengshui high-tech zone, in North China’s Hebei province, actively promotes the project of replacing coal burning heating with steam heating, to improve the region’s air quality. The project uses a 28-kilometer-long pipeline to transport steam from local power plant to Lubei new district for centralized heating. After the completion of the project, it is estimated that 4 million tons of steam can be supplied each year, which will annually save 220,000 tons of standard coal.
